Re: 鬼を狩る者 (Oni o Karu Mono)Edit

No problem, glad I could help. If you need help with anything feel free to ask me! Amandelen (talk) 16:29, March 9, 2020 (UTC)

Views Edit

Thanks for the edit/update, but the viewcount would be 110k and not need to update til 120, rather than 115, sorry for the inconvenience and hopefully that helps for the future!

Thank you for adding a translation to 人生はコメディ! I just wanted to notify you that I removed the translation (hopefully temporarily) because I wasn't sure if you asked poppochan permission to use the translation or not. They asked us to please ask before using their translations, so before we can post it we need to have permission. If you did that already, thank you and sorry for the misunderstanding! I've (also) asked poppochan about the translation so it'll likely be added back shortly. Amandelen (talk) 10:12, March 14, 2020 (UTC)

夜明けのステラ Edit

Hi, maranaaa! Thank you for making a page for Oni o Karu Mono. If it's not too much trouble, could you please make a page for the song I've linked below as well? Thank you!

SolarTwT (talk) 19:40, March 20, 2020 (UTC)

Hi! Thank you so much for adding the page. I renamed the page from Sutera to Stella, according to the song article guidelines. For English words that are used in Japanese, we use the English word itself on the page title, and not the romanised version of what it says in Japanese. Hope that helps for future reference! SolarTwT (talk) 18:02, March 21, 2020 (UTC)

Mite Edit

No prob! We all have misses sometimes :)

Thanks for adding the image for Mite SolarTwT (talk) 18:26, March 21, 2020 (UTC)

Yudoufu Edit

Hi! Saw your message at Amandalen's. Here's the songs list page. Meaningful told me how to make a producer's songs list page, so I'll just leave that message here for your future reference:

If the producer doesn't already have a category, you add "--- songs list" to the list of categories while making the page and click on the category link when the page is made to fill in the producer information and add it to the Producer Song Lists category.
Once that's made, you click on the producer's name in the infobox (it'll be written in red) and it'll direct you to make a new page for "---". From there, you just put #REDIRECT [[:Category:--- songs list]] in the page.

Hope this helps!

SolarTwT (talk) 16:51, April 2, 2020 (UTC)

Thank you SolarTwT! I wanted to answer yesterday but unfortunately didn't have the time. Amandelen (talk) 09:43, April 3, 2020 (UTC)

Views Edit

Thanks for the remix add, the viewcount would be at 180k, not 188, til 190 to update it rather than a closer exact number.

Re: NejishikiEdit

Thank you for your question! I agree that the English is awkward. We're currently having our translators look at one of the translations to asses their quality, so I'd say to wait a bit before adding them. If it turns out that they're not accurate enough the translations will be removed and your efforts would kind of be wasted. If you really feel like adding them you're free to do so, though. I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to approach me again! Amandelen (talk) 19:39, April 25, 2020 (UTC)

Re: potatoになっていく's English TranslationEdit

Yes, thank you for bringing it to my attention! I forgot about doing something about that translation. Since it has already been added I'll follow what the Song Article Guidelines say on such translations and add a note. Amandelen (talk) 13:18, May 3, 2020 (UTC)

Re: 吝嗇家 (Rinshokuka)Edit

You're welcome :) Yes,you can do both as long as its official quotes.

Oni o Karu mono request Edit

Hi there! So there's currently a translation available for Oni o Karu mono here but it hasn't been checked yet for accuracy. I believe you requested the song at releska's? Amandalen wants to check the translation by comparing it with Releska's after he finishes it but I thought if the above linked translation is accurate enough (one of their translation was accepted before), you can request a different song from Releska, if you have any mind. It'd save both time and avoid two translations of the same song (provided the one above is good enough.) Let us know what you would like to do here. Thanks! SolarTwT (talk) 00:53, May 9, 2020 (UTC)

Year categoriesEdit

Thank you for helping with the year categories! However, there's no need to. I did edit some pages by hand because my bot skipped them and I had to figure out why. Other than that my bot should be able to handle it. Just thought I'd let you know. Amandelen (talk) 17:41, May 19, 2020 (UTC)

I figured haha. My bot just started running and it takes a while before it gets through all pages so that's why a lot of them aren't categorized yet. Amandelen (talk) 17:48, May 19, 2020 (UTC)

Re: 心傷モノクローム (Shinshou Monochrome)Edit

Sure! I've updated the page with a discography and removed the link that was causing the spam filter to act up. Glad I could help~. Amandelen (talk) 17:34, May 20, 2020 (UTC)

Re: AlbumsEdit

Thank you for the suggestion! I'll try to modify the template to allow this. I'll get back to you if/when I figure it out. Amandelen (talk) 18:41, May 22, 2020 (UTC)

EDIT: I've figured out how it works! You can now add the parameter "diskX" (where X is the number of a disk) to specify the disk name. I've also updated the guidelines. Amandelen (talk) 19:06, May 22, 2020 (UTC)

ロニ Edit

For the views, the count would be at 75k rather than 75,600 (updated it now tho) and not need to change til the next highest

カラフルタッグチーム (Colorful Tag Team)Edit

Translations in video captions are only considered 'Official' if they're not open to community contribution; as they are now, anyone can go into this page and submit a revised translation for approval. In contrast, a song like 豚になってyeah yeah (Buta ni Natte yeah yeah) is considered to have an official cc translation because contributors are not allowed to edit the current translation. Only translations that are 'Locked' in the cc editor or summary section are considered to be 'Official' translations.

I hope that clears things up!

Re: 不終ノ宴 (Owarazu no Utage)Edit

Sure! I've checked it and corrected some mistakes. I'm not entirely sure about "続" in 諦観を続べた海を (I pearsonally hear ず), but other than that I'm pretty confident they're correct! Amandelen (talk) 19:06, June 2, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Hello!Edit

Hi Maranaaa, thanks so much for the welcome! I'm super excited to meet a fellow KAITO (and yes, Shigotoshite-P!) fan! It was a pleasure translating Oni o Karu Mono, glad you enjoyed it.

And you're more than welcome to request a song! :D

Irisari (talk) 04:02, June 5, 2020 (UTC)

OMG, thank you for introducing me to this GORGEOUS song. I'm now hooked. KAITO's been getting some great songs lately (like Intro-P's Starlight Serenade!) and I'm SO HAPPY.
And leave the translation to me! :D
Irisari (talk) 04:58, June 5, 2020 (UTC)
Yessss, Olive Cage is so good!! I'm obsessed with Shinjou-P. By the way, I've just sent you a friend request on Discord! :)

Yuukyuu Sanka Edit

Was able to find the release date (if you're on chrome you can change your settings to allow flash or so, and it should work)

Re: Double ImageEdit

Thank you for telling me! I've removed the duplicated image! Amandelen (talk) 17:54, June 6, 2020 (UTC)

Re: 一矢の舞 (Hitoya no Mai)Edit

Hello! The lyrics can be written as they are on the PV, so there's no need to find the Hanzi. (Also my Chinese isn't nearly good enough to figure out which Hanzi to use from pinyin alone, honestly). Amandelen (talk) 11:25, June 11, 2020 (UTC)

想ひ桜 Edit

All languages change over time including drifts in pronunciation as well as changes in characters used to represent certain sounds. Japanese went through a series of spelling reforms during last century in which usages which were obsolete or misleading were modified. For example:

  • む originally used to be used for both mu and n. ん existed but it was a kind of non-standard alternative way of writing む. It was decided to use む for mu and to ん for n. Other non-standard alternative characters were dropped permanently.
  • Many words had strange spelling that was completely different to their pronunciation, e.g., けふ was how they wrote きょう kyoo. かへる was how they wrote かえる (i.e. 帰る) kaeru. ませう was how they wrote the polite volitional verb ending ましょう mashoo.
  • A couple of kana, ゐ and ゑ were dropped completely because the sounds wi and we were no longer used.
  • Sounds like ぢゅ were indistinguishable from じゅ so they were standardized to じゅ etc.

It seems spelling reforms didn't quite get completed. For example:

  • They still write mostly write oo as おう and only write it おお in cases where it once used to be おほ.
  • を was retained for the particle o, maybe because it would have introduced too much ambiguity into the written language, or maybe just because the reform movement petered out.

Anyway, lyrics on occasion use old spelling probably to give it an old-fashioned atmosphere. Fortunately it's not very common since it's harder to read. In English too you sometimes come across cliches like "Ye Olde Shoppe" which is a similar kind of obsolete spelling for "The Old Shop".

Hope this helps explain it.

ナイリ (Nairi)Edit

Sure thing! I can add in the missing line and any necessary translation notes once the lyrics are on the page. Would you be able to add the translation, or should I do it when I have time?

Nevermind, I see the lyrics are already there XD I'll add the notes/the extra line as soon as I can!

Violet330 (talk) 16:27, June 17, 2020 (UTC)

The edits have been made!

Violet330 (talk) 17:55, June 17, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Can this song be added?Edit

Thank you for asking! This counts as a self-cover, so it can be added. Hope this helps! Amandelen (talk) 14:57, June 19, 2020 (UTC)

不満足な街 Edit

Hi, did you do the romaji for 不満足な街? I made some changes.

  • We usually write な (or に etc.) after an adjective as a separate word so I changed the title.
  • Also 死にたく is one word, the desiderative form of the verb 死ぬ. 死ぬ→死にたい→死にたく.
  • 歩き疲れた is also one word. There's no word arukitsu like you had it -- you're splitting the word in the middle of a kanji!
  • 見下げたこの is two words 見上げた この. It has nothing to do with octopuses (or kites) ...
  • くれねえ is just a slang ways of saying くれない. Same with 行かねえ.

I still make mistakes myself even after years of learning so don't feel too bad, but please make an effort to continue your study of Japanese to help you become more accurate. ElectricRaichu (talk) 22:14, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

アルビノカラー Edit

Re: World Is MineEdit

Hello! Different versions of VOCALOID original songs can be added as spin-offs given that the lyrics are significantly different (e.g. Hyurno's cover of きえないひとみ。 wouldn't count as a spin-off even though a few words are changed, but a song where one verse is completely different definitely does). The Another Version of World is Mine is definitely different enough to be added! Amandelen (talk) 14:31, July 23, 2020 (UTC)

If the song has over 1000K views (combined) on official uploads it can be added as a notable cover song. Otherwise it cannot be added according to the rules, unfortunately. Amandelen (talk) 17:59, July 23, 2020 (UTC)

Reply Edit

Yeah, IDK if they changed their name, b/c it was under the yt channel that had these songs

Re: Compass SeriesEdit

Good question! I don't think there's standard policy for this. I think it would be best to add either the character's art like you said or the boxart of (one of the) VOCALOIDs used in the song. That way when (if) an official MV comes out it'll be easier to add a more official image.

I think it's fine to leave the full version on the page, since a long version featuring Miku will likely be released someday.

I hope this answers your questions! If it doesn't, feel free to ask for clarification. I hope you'll have a nice day =). Amandelen (talk) 15:59, August 1, 2020 (UTC)

Reply to your reply to the cult song Edit

I've seen at least one of their songs get a vocaloid Database page ( ) so would that mean it doesn't?

I dunno :P

Uh- you decide, I'm an idiot XD

Also, joke I made: every time I use the XD emoticon, an XD001 (Shadow Lugia) appears.

And thus, be glad the game isn't reality as the world would be dead XD (see?).

Re: Rainbow (CloudsP)Edit

No problem! I've removed the page. Amandelen (talk) 16:19, August 4, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Lyrics StructureEdit

Hello! I think the format you proposed should work. This page is an example of a page for a trilingual song, maybe that it helps with making the page. Amandelen (talk) 14:22, August 5, 2020 (UTC)

Re: SubpageEdit

Hello! Yes, this page should have both categories. A page can have multiple subcategories of the same artist. Amandelen (talk) 17:21, August 11, 2020 (UTC)

Hello! Mastering (and mixing, instrumentals, etc.) indeed falls under Other. The only special categories are lyrics, arrangement, tuning, and visuals (illustrators, animators, photographers, etc.) Amandelen (talk) 18:04, August 11, 2020 (UTC)

Producer templateEdit

Hey! Just a small note, you can use the {{Producer}} template to add main categories for producers. Aliases can be added like this {{Producer|Alias here}}. I figured this would make adding categories a bit easier. Amandelen (talk) 18:15, August 11, 2020 (UTC)

Yes, those corrections do indeed change the meaning of the translation a bit. Thanks for letting me know! I've edited the English lyrics accordingly.

And thank you so much for updating all the Heroes & Villains pages, I've been dying to have reliable lyrics for 透明花 for so long now T_T Finally my dream has come to fruition XD

Violet330 (talk) 16:27, August 18, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Song list catergoryEdit

I've been thinking of making such a template, actually. It is a bit hard to make a complete one since it'd have to cover a lot of different types of websites. For now I've come up with {{ProducerLinks}}, which allows you to add some links more easily. I used it in this category. What do you think? Do you have any suggestions? Amandelen (talk) 11:45, August 20, 2020 (UTC)

Unfortunately there is no easy way to recognize links as of right now (at least not one that I know of). I'll try looking into it, though. Thank you for the suggestion! Amandelen (talk) 13:26, August 20, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Album Only SongsEdit

Hello! I actually recently discussed this with Raichu I think. Songs with auto generated uploads can be added to the external links section and their viewcount can be recorded, but the album-only category has to stay. I agree with you that spotify links can also be in the links section of the infobox. Amandelen (talk) 15:51, September 1, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Caution TagEdit

Questionable and Explicit are mostly used for phobia's (see Amygdala's Rag Doll, for example). I've made a template just now ({{Caution}}) which can be used for any other warnings that may need to be issued. I'll update the song article guideline. Amandelen (talk) 08:49, September 6, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Untitled songsEdit

Hello! That's a hard question. I'd either try to find a new for the song (for example, has a (fanmade) name here, or name the song by release date (month), like these two songs (for example, a song released in August would be called 「 」/XYXYZ August). Hopefully either of these works as a solution. If it does not, feel free to ask me again and I'll try to think of something else. Amandelen (talk) 09:25, September 6, 2020 (UTC)

If the description is short that's fine to use! Alternatively, you could also use the YouTube ID (Rcsg3vWfnWw) as the title for the page. Amandelen (talk) 09:32, September 6, 2020 (UTC)

「 」/XYXYZ (Rcsg3vWfnWw) should be good I think! Amandelen (talk) 09:39, September 6, 2020 (UTC)

Hi, there's one song I'd like to request, but I want to make sure it's okay first because it involves bugs. The PV is a still image of one pinned butterfly in the forefront and a bunch of smaller butterflies on the left. It's all very stylized, with the butterflies being very flat and more like black paper cut-outs than actual animals. Would that be fine?

Also, can people make more than one request at a time? Aruo (talk) 01:46, September 8, 2020 (UTC)

The butterflies look even less real than in ageha, so it's probably be fine. I'll leave the song in your request page, under 胡蝶. --Aruo (talk) 23:44, September 12, 2020 (UTC)

Aποκάλυψις Edit

I would put the Japanese in the first column (世が許さなくて), spell out the romaji letter by letter in the romaji colum (y-o g-a y-u-r-u-s-a-n-a-k-u-t-e). Using dashes like you suggest is helpful because if it was just a bunch of disconnected letters readers might have trouble understanding what it means.

Yes, I think it would be agood idea to leave a footnote saying that the lyrics were sung by spelling the romaji letter by letter, since just by listening to the song it's not obvious that's what's happening.

Hope this helps. ElectricRaichu (talk) 21:12, September 15, 2020 (UTC)
