"Spectrophobia (...) is a kind of specific phobia involving an abnormal and persistent fear of mirrors, and an anxiety about seeing one's own face reflected in them. It is sometimes related to the fear of ghosts or the undead." (Wikipedia) I did this music for pride month in June, but the MV took so much time to make that I've finished it yesterday ahah As you can see it's a pretty simple MV, again my PC is dying every time I open a complex software so I will not be able to do fancy music video for a long time ahah Nevertheless, I'm still really happy of the final result (thanks to Liza's amazing illustration of Phylli xexrectyub IT'S SO PRETTY AAAAAAAAH) I changed of ideas 3 times for this MV, you almost see the meme squad and a transmasc Fukase u-u (I have a folder with all the WIP drawings, they're not so great but I'll keep em anyway). The character who end up being on the MV (and on my new PP) is Phylli, my main OC ! They are the first character you see in "Patient", you'll probably see them a lot in my work cause they're really important, and they're the child of Luna (the character in "I'm waiting for you alone on the Moon" :D) Sooo about the meaning of the song... I got inspired after hearing about Spectrophobia while doing reserch for my game(s) projects (I didn't put the intro of R.P cause it would have ruin the rythm of the music but this song is part of the Reflet Project). It's connect to "OBOETE" (another song I made with Lacie) since it's share the same theme. If OBOETE is a sad and stressful response to a passive transphobic/psychophobe situation, SPECTROPHOBIA is an angry response, words you have inside you that you want to scream (but you don't cause you don't wanna start a argument). A response to people who are minimizing the traumatic event you've been through. But it still end on a positif note :) Don't forget, it always get better. And your trueself is beautiful !" |
