Cogecha (焦茶) is an illustrator born in Saitama, Japan, on July 13, 1995. He combines techniques from 80s pop art with contemporary Japanese painting and animation illustrations, creating many distinctive characters and landscapes. In 2019, he held his first solo exhibition titled "HELLO HELLO HELLO" in Japan.
Cogecha passed away unexpectedly due to an accident in late June 2020, as announced by associates on his Twitter account on January 15, 2021.[1]
