Japanese | Romaji | English |
目を閉じなさい | me o toji nasai | Close your eyes |
今すぐに | ima sugu ni | at once. |
目を合わせないで | me o awasenaide | Don’t look at me |
奪われるから | ubawareru kara | or you'll be stolen away. |
でも お望みなら | demo onozomi nara | But if you wish, |
楽になりたいなら | raku ni naritai nara | and if you want to be at ease |
こちらへおいでよ | kochira e oide yo | then come here |
希望の幽霊船 | kibou no yuureisen | to the ghost ship of hope. |
shuukyou shuukyou bokura no | Faith, faith, it’s ours.[2]
shinkou shinkou susumu yo | Advance, invade and keep going.
殺されていく | korosarete iku | I’m being killed. |
みじめな思い出と | mijime na omoide to | Though my body melts |
人並みの望みを | hitonami no nozomi o | my wretched memories |
体が溶けても | karada ga tokete mo | and ordinary desires, |
世界が変わるまで | sekai ga kawaru made | it continues until the world changes. |
目を醒ましなさい | me o samashi nasai | Wake up. |
現実に | genjitsu ni | Experience reality |
触れてご覧なさい | furete goran nasai | and observe, |
力になるから | chikara ni naru kara | for it will be your strength. |
さあ お望みだろう | saa onozomi darou | So, I guess it’s what you wish for. |
楽になりたいだろう | raku ni naritai darou | I guess you want to be at ease. |
こちらへおいでよ | kochira e oide yo | Come here |
ぼくらの幽霊船 | bokura no yuureisen | to our ghost ship. |
koushin koushin kokoro ga | UPDATE. UPDATE. My heart[3]
伝染 感染 うまれたよ | densen kansen umareta yo | was born from contagion and infection. |
殺されていく | korosarete iku | It's killed. |
みじめな思い出と | mijime na omoide to | I cannot share |
人並みの幸せも | hitonami no shiawase mo | my wretched memories |
分かち合えはしない | wakachiae wa shinai | and ordinary happiness |
世界を変えるまで | sekai o kaeru made | until I change the world. |
宗教 宗教 ぼくらの | shuukyou shuukyou bokura no | Faith, faith—it’s ours. |
進行 侵攻 すすむよ | shinkou shinkou susumu yo | Advance, invade and keep going. |
殺されていく | korosarete iku | I’m being killed. |
みじめな思い出と | mijime na omoide to | Though my body melts |

体が溶けても | karada ga tokete mo | and ordinary desires, |
世界を変えるまで | sekai o kaeru made | it continues until the world changes. |

Translation Notes
- ↑ According to an online dictionary, it seems that the kanji used in the title has connotations of blindness and being unsure of where you’re going. So, kind of a literal and metaphorical darkness.
- ↑ 9世主, (lit. 9th Lord) is written, but しゅうきょう (shuukyou) and しんこう (shinkou) are sung on the first and second lines. The translation copies the last stanza, which uses the same sung words but has their corresponding kanji written down.
- ↑ こうしん (koushin – update) is sung in place of the English word UPDATE, and こころ (kokoro – heart) is sung in place of 感情 (kanjou – feelings).
