愛言葉 | ai kotoba | love words. |
English translation by ElectricRaichu and Damesukekun
Translation Notes
- ↑ Ai kotoba (愛言葉) "love words" is a play on aikotoba (合言葉) "password, code word, motto" which literally means something like "words between us".
- ↑ In Japanese "Love is ten" sounds similar to "Thank you" (see romaji). "Love is ten" is vague and could mean that there are ten loves, love is ten-fold, love is ten years old, etc.
- ↑ "39", if read sankyū "3 9", sounds like how the English phrase "thank you" would be pronounced in Japanese. Sankyuu mashita might also mean "it's increased by 39". Incidentally, "39" could alternatively be pronunced Miku.
- ↑ Kureru (くれる) usually means to do something for the speaker, but as a play on words, a different kureru (暮れる) meaning to spend time is used instead (although it usually has sad connotations).
- ↑ This line is the title of a song 僕みたいな君 君みたいな僕 (Boku Mitai na Kimi, Kimi Mitai na Boku) by the same composer.
- ↑ This line is borrowed from a song 相愛性理論 (Souaisei Riron) by the same composer.
