Translation Notes

↑ the title ‘kokoronashi’, written like 心做し, is an expression meaning ‘somehow’ or ‘somewhat’. but it’s interesting to note that when written like 心なし, it means ‘a lack of judgement’ and when like 心無し, it means ‘without a heart’.
