LyricsEdit

Japanese Romaji English
本能が狂い始める honnou ga kurui hajimeru {Your} instincts start to go crazy,
追い詰められたハツカネズミ oitsume rareta hatsukanezumi like a cornered mouse
今、絶望の淵に立って ima, zetsubou no fuchi ni tatte now, standing in an abyss of despair,
踏切へと飛び出した fumikiri e to tobidashita you jumped into the railway crossing

そう 君は友達 sou kimi wa tomodachi Yes, you’re my friend,
僕の手を掴めよ boku no te o tsukame yo so take my hand
そう 君は独りさ sou kimi wa hitori sa Yes, you’re alone,
居場所なんて無いだろ ibasho nante nai daro you've got nowhere to go, do you?

二人きりこの儘 futarikiri kono mama --But with things like this,
愛し合えるさ―。 aishiaeru sa―. we’re able to love each other

繰り返す kurikaesu It repeats again;
フラッシュバック・蝉の声・ furasshu bakku semi no koe A flashback, the buzzing cicadas…
二度とは帰らぬ君 nido to wa kaeranu kimi And you, who will never come back.
永遠に千切れてく towa ni chigireteku Our matching keychains
お揃いのキーホルダー osoroi no kiihorudaa are being torn apart for all eternity.
夏が消し去った natsu ga keshi satta The girl with her pale white skin
白い肌の少女に shiroi hada no shoujo ni that the summer got rid of
哀しい程 とり憑かれて仕舞いたい kanashii hodo tori tsukarete shimaitai I find myself wanting to be possessed by her so much it brings me to tears

本性が暴れ始める honshou ga abare hajimeru My true nature starts to break loose
九月のスタート kugatsu no sutaato at the start of September,
告げるチャイム tsugeru chaimu marked by the ringing of chimes
次の標的に置かれた花瓶 tsugi no hyouteki ni okareta kabin a flower vase placed on the next target,
仕掛けたのは僕だった shikaketa no wa boku datta and the one who started it... was me[1]

そう 君が悪いんだよ sou kimi ga waruin da yo It’s true, you’re to blame--
僕だけを見ててよ boku dake o mitete yo just look at me and me only
そう 君の苦しみ sou kimi no kurushimi It’s true, you want someone to help you,
助けが欲しいだろ tasuke ga hoshii daro don't you?

溺れてく其の手に oboreteku sono te ni I gently place a kiss
そっと口吻(kiss)をした―。 sotto kiss o shita―. on your drowning hands

薄笑いの獣たち usuwarai no kemonotachi Those faintly smiling beasts
その心晴れるまで sono kokoro hareru made dig their nails into {you}
爪を突き立てる tsume o tsukitateru until their hearts are refreshed,
不揃いのスカート fuzoroi no sukaato and now your skirt is uneven.
夏の静寂を切り裂くような悲鳴が natsu no seijaku o kirisaku you na himei ga A scream that seemed as though it cut off the silence of summer
(こだま)する教室の窓には青空 kodama suru kyoushitsu no mado ni wa aozora echos through the classroom, in the window is the blue sky

そう 君は友達 sou kimi wa tomodachi Of course, you're my friend,
僕の手を掴めよ boku no te o tsukame yo so take my hand.
そう 君が居なくちゃ sou kimi ga inakucha Of course, you’re gone,
居場所なんて無いんだよ ibasho nante nain da yo and I’ve got nowhere to go.

透き通った世界で sukitootta sekai de If we were able to love each other
愛し合えたら―。 aishiaetara―. in that transparent world~

繰り返す kurikaesu It repeats again;
夏が消し去った natsu ga keshisatta The girl with that pale white skin
白い肌の少女に shiroi hada no shoujo ni that the summer got rid of
哀しい程 とり憑かれて仕舞いたい kanashii hodo tori tsukarete shimaitai I find myself wanting to be possessed by her so much it makes me sad

透明な君は toumeina kimi wa You were just transparent,
僕を指差してた―。 boku o yubi sashiteta―. and pointed at me[2]

NotesEdit

  1. Refers to a kind of Japanese bullying where a vase of flowers is placed on the target’s desk. Putting flowers on a person’s desk is usually something done when someone has died, so it sends a “you should die” kind of message.
  2. Possibly refers to a horror trope where the ghost points at the person who caused its death.
