Furthermore, it’s almost certainly also a reference to both the author Franz Kafka and one of his most notable works The Metamorphosis. The Japanese title isn’t actually a word; I’ve interpreted it as the kanji 化 used a prefix (though it’s usually a suffix) meaning “to change” or “changing” attached to the word 孵化 “incubation,” hence “Metamorphosing Incubation.”
↑ 綺麗好き is specifically someone who loves cleanliness or likes to keep things tidy.
↑ ザクロの雨 is literally “pomegranate rain;” this is probably a euphemism for something more violent, like a hail of bullets or gunfire.
