歌うたうキボウになった utautau kibou ni natta became a song of hope.

温度のない肌 ondo no nai hada Skin with no temperature,
お手製のキュロット atesei no kyurotto handmade culottes.

キミのセカイを動かす kimi no sekai o ugokasu changes your world.

答えは kotae wa It's okay
考えなくて大丈夫 kangaenakute daijoubu if you don't think about what the answer is,
明日のご飯のことも! ashita no gohan no kotomo! or about what you'll eat tomorrow![4]
優しいも正偽も yasashii mo sei gi mo Kindness, lies and truths,
尖った熱も togatta netsu mo and abnormal rises in temperature,
キミには関係 kimi ni wa kankei none of them have anything
無いんだよ nainda yo to do with you.
いつか最終回がやってきて itsuka saishuukai ga yattekite Someday the final chapter will come
離れ離れになるけど hanare hanare ni naru kedo and we'll grow apart, but
僕の願いは boku no negai wa my wish is-

いつも歩く公園で itsumo aruku kouen de At the park where I always take my walks
夕焼けが過ぎるのを待って yuuyake ga sugiru no wa matte I waited for the sunset hues to pass.
いつもより少し多く itsumo yori sukoshi ooku There were more stars than usual
揺らいだ星を見たんだ yuraida hoshi wa mitanda as I watched them sway.

答えは kotae wa It's okay
考えなくて大丈夫 kangaenakute daijoubu if you don't think about what's the answer is,
終末の予報なんかも! shuumatsu no yohou nanka mo! or about the signs that the world will end!
正しい数字も tadashii suuji mo The right numbers,
違った文字も chigatta ni monji mo nor the wrong letters,
キミには関係 kimi ni wa kankei they don't have anything
無いんだよ nainda yo to do with you.
いつか最終回がやってきて itsuka saishuukai ga yattekite Someday the final chapter will come
離れ離れになるけど hanare hanare ni naru kedo and we'll grow apart, but
僕の願いは叶ったから boku no negai wa kanatta kara my wish came true...

この星の歪さも kono hoshi no ibitsu sa mo This world's distorted nature,
いつか、運命の醜さも itsuka, unmei no minikusa mo and someday, the ugliness of fate too,
愛おしくなってしまう日が来るよ itooshiku natteshimau hi ga kuru yo they will become precious to you.

砂にまみれた不鮮明なコードが読めなくて suna ni mamireta fusenmei na koodo ga yomenakute I can't read the blurred code while it's buried in sand.

English translation by Kaz

Translation Notes

  1. This is the spelling of Adachi Rei's first name.
  2. Adachi Rei is not only an UTAU, but a robot being built in real life by Missile 39. He regularly posts about his progress, including how he 3D prints every part line by line and how he hand sewed her culottes, the latter of which picdo was pretty excited about.
  3. Spelt in hiragana as a reference to the name of Adachi Rei's creator, Missile.
  4. "What will I eat tomorrow?" is a recurring line in picdo's works, appearing in Let's go to Paradise, Vanishing into our Final Stop and The 3 Traveling Basic Needs.
