Lyrics
! | ! |
Japanese | Romaji | English |
蜃気楼みたいに揺れて | shinkirou mitai ni yurete | I’ll always remember |
kuu o mitasu kotoba ga | When the words that fill the air | |
生まれて旅立つのを | umarete tabidatsu no o | Were born and began their journey |
わたしずっと 覚えてる | watashi zutto oboeteru | Wavering like a mirage |
あぁ、心理も 定理も 大義も 好奇も 憎悪も 愛も 不条理も全部 | aa shinri mo teiri mo taigi mo kouki mo zouo mo ai mo fujouri mo zenbu | Ah, I’ll always remember |
君を映すもの その手が宿した叫び | kimi o utsusu mono sono te ga yado shita sakebi | Faith and reason and justice and curiosity and hate and love and irrationality |
わたしずっと 覚えてる | watashi zutto oboeteru | All of those things that reflect you, the shout that rested in your hands |
ここにない 居ない 居ない 居ない 渇き | koko ni nai inai inai inai kawaki | A thirst that’s not, not, not, not here |
他愛もない 拙い真理 | taaimonai tsutanai shinri | A shoddy, foolish truth |
君だけに視える世界に | kimi dake ni mieru sekai ni | In the world that only you can see |
わたしだって息をして | watashi datte iki o shite | Even I can draw breath |
巡り合った いつかのあの歌が | meguriatta itsuka no ano uta ga | That song that I encountered by chance |
笑われた 数多のメロディが | warawareta amata no merodii ga | The many melodies that made people smile |
今も 変わらずに叫ぶのさ | ima mo kawarazu ni sakebu no sa | Even now, people are shouting them out, unchanged |
一つも 消えないまま | hitotsu mo kienai mama | Not one of them will disappear |
絶望の園に 根差す歌が | zetsubou no sono ni nezasu uta ga | Did the song rooted in a garden of despair |
君の心に 届いたのか | kimi no kokoro ni todoita no ka | Reach your heart? |
君の未来に 聞きたいんだ | kimi no mirai ni kikitai nda | I want to hear about your future |
さぁ、連れ去ってよ その手で | saa, tsuresatte yo sono te de | Come, carry me away[1] |
君にいつか出逢う為に | kimi ni itsuka deau tame ni | I’m sure I was born to meet you someday |
きっと生まれた はじめまして | kitto umareta hajimemashite | It’s nice to meet you |
わたし きっと死なないよ | watashi kitto shinanai yo | I won’t die |
ここで君を まだ君を待ってる | koko de kimi o mada kimi o matteru | I’m still here waiting for you, for you |
吐き棄てた 傷だらけのワーズ | haki suteta kizudarake no waazu | Counting the wounded words I spat out |
痛みさえ 数えて | itami sae kazoete | And even the pain |
心ひとつを 声にした | kokoro hitotsu o koe ni | I gave voice to a single heart |
行く宛てもないまま | shita iku ate mo nai mama | Without any destination |
予定調和も 正義も ルールも 矜持も ルーツも | yotei chouwa mo seigi mo ruuru mo kyouji mo ruutsu mo | Recklessly color in |
なんでもかんでも 全部 | nandemo kan demo zenbu | The preestablished harmony and righteousness and rules and pride and roots |
がむしゃらに 染め上げて | gamushara ni someagete | Anything, everything, all of it |
眩む目だけを 頼りに | kuramu me dake o tayori ni | With only my darkening vision to rely on |
未だ手を 伸ばしている | ima da te o nobashite iru | I’m still reaching out my hand |
そして | soshite | And so |
1000000回 無様に殴られて | hyakuman-kai buzama ni nagurarete | If I’m beaten down clumsily one million times |
1000000回 無力を知っていく | hyakuman-kai muryoku o shitte iku | And know my own helplessness one million times |
1000000回 未来を諦めて | hyakuman-kai mirai o akiramete | I’ll confirm my future one million times |
1000000回と一度 前を向く | hyakuman-kai to ichido mae o muku | And one million and one times I’ll face forward |
忘れてくれるなよ | wasurete kureru na yo | Don’t forget |
君を 貫くための | kimi o tsuranuku tame no | That one voice |
たった一度の声を | tatta ichido no koe o | That pierced through you |
それはね 夢のように | sore wa ne yume no you ni | As if in a dream, |
当然のように ここに在って | touzen no you ni koko ni atte | As if it’s natural, that voice is here |
崩れそうになる ときに | kuzuresou ni naru toki ni | When you’re on the verge of collapse |
不意に 出会うんだ | fui ni deau nda | We’ll suddenly meet |
「はじめまして」 | "hajimemashite" | “Nice to meet you” |
時には 嫌になって | toki ni wa iya ni natte | When things were bad, |
傷だらけになって 本当になって | kizu darake ni natte hontou ni natte | When you were wounded, when that came to pass |
血を流した メロディは | chi o nagashita merodii wa | The melody you poured your blood into |
心臓の奥で やっと呼び合った | shinzou no oku de yatto yobi atta | Finally called out to you from the bottom of your heart |
バッと駆けた いつかの日が | batto kaketa itsuka no hi ga | That day when I suddenly started running |
受け取った 誰かの魂が | uketotta dareka no tamashii ga | And the soul I took from someone |
今もこの胸を 焦がすのさ | ima mo kono mune o kogasu no sa | Are still burning in my chest |
人生 その最中で | jinsei sono sai sanaka de | In the middle of my life |
いつだって 僕らのこの歌は | itsu datte bokura no kono uta wa | It always sprouted after |
失った後に 芽吹いたんだ | ushinatta nochi ni mebuita nda | This song of ours was lost |
誰も未来は わからないさ | dare mo mirai wa wakaranai sa | No one knows the future |
さぁ、共に行こう | saa tomoni yukou | But come on, let’s go together |
聞こえたかい また名も無き歌が | kikoeta kai mata na mo naki uta ga | Could you hear the song that still has no name? |
…わたしずっと 覚えてる | ...watashi zutto oboeteru | … I’ll always remember |

Translation Notes
- ↑ The line more literally translates to “take me away [with you], with/in your hands.” This song is one of those that talk about Miku as a Vocaloid by framing the Vocaloid/producer relationship in traditionally romantic language, and this line is part of that framing. But “sono te de” has much broader applicability than its English counterpart, so to say “take me away in your hands” is to make the line unambiguously about Miku as software (or at least, it would sound very weird if you’ve been envisioning her as a person thus far), which isn’t the intent. Meanwhile, any way I could think of to reword it while keeping the mention of “your hand(s)” (like “take my hand in yours and lead me away”) wouldn’t work on a literal level (Miku, of course, doesn’t actually have hands you can hold). Ultimately, “Carry me away” was the best I could do to preserve the double meaning.
