Lyrics

Japanese Romaji English
不愉快になりたくなるの fuyukai ni naritaku naru no I've started wanting to become obnoxious.
まるで変わんないな round and round marude kawannai na round and round It's like nothing changes, round and round
裏をかいて捕えた ura o kaite toraeta I outsmarted and captured them.
夢の続きも downer downer yume no tsudzuki mo downer downer The rest of my dream's also a downer, downer

ハイになっても落とさないレース hai ni natte mo otosanai reesu Even if I’m reduced to ashes[2], I won’t lose this race
それが意外とフツー sore ga igai to futsuu It’s surprisingly normal
ねぇ痛みは何処 追ってみたフロー nee itami wa doko otte mita furoo Come on, where’s the pain? I tried to chase the flow
何だかんだ有耶無耶 nanda kanda uyamuya Everything just feels kinda hazy.

ずっと失くしたまま zutto nakushita mama I had always lost it
こっからは何も見えないって分かった kokkara wa nani mo mienai tte wakatta “Nothing can be seen from here,” I realised
溺れてしまうよセイレーン oborete shimau yo seireen I'm gonna drown, Sirens[3]!
そういうものねズルくは無いね sou iu mono ne zuruku wa nai ne Such is life, this is not so sly

不愉快になりたくなるの fuyukai ni naritaku naru no I've started wanting to become obnoxious.
まるで変わんないな round and round marude kawannai na round and round It's like nothing changes, round and round
裏をかいて捕えた ura o kaite toraeta I outsmarted and captured them.
夢の続きも downer downer yume no tsudzuki mo downer downer The rest of my dream's also a downer, downer
遮るものは愛 saigiru mono wa ai That which obstructs me is love.
ただの優しさだって曖昧 ayy tada no yasashisa datte aimai ayy However even kindness is shady, ayy
同じ空を見て onaji sora o mite I look at the same sky,
いっそ溶かして slow down down down isso tokashite slow down down down and I’d rather just melt it away, slow down down down

怖いもの見たさ? kowai mono mitasa? Want to see something scary?
まっそういうことだから入り口で待機中 ma sou iu koto dakara iriguchi de taiki chuu Well, that's how it is, and so you're standing by at the entrance.
安い葛藤なら細切れにして yasui kattou nara komagire ni shite For cheap conflicts, you can just deal with them
処理しちゃって構わない shori shichatte kamawanai by slicing them into small pieces.

大概訳アリの設定 taigai wakeari no settei It's a generally imperfect setting:
今すぐタイムマシーンで乗り付けて imasugu taimu mashiin de noritsukete I drive up to the time machine at once
瞬間メンヘラ嵌めるBPM shunkan menhera hameru BPM In that instant, the BPM hammers the lunatic
マジごめんってズルいよね maji gomen tte zurui yo ne “Sorry for real,” that's so sly, don’t you think?

どれだけ失せようとも dore dake useyou tomo No matter how much it fades,
繋がって巡ってるだけ tsunagatte megutteru dake we remain connected and still revolve around each other.
悔やむより過去にして kuyamu yori kako ni shite Don't stew in regret, put it behind you
記憶ごと朽ちてゆけ kioku goto kuchite yuke and let all those memories rot!

Translation Notes

  1. zuru is normally spelt out using hiragana characters, as ずる, instead of the katakana characters. There were other terms in the lyrics where katakana was used over hiragana-based terms (i.e. フツー, ズルく & ズルい) with the assumption of emphasis by the writer, so the English definitions for those terms were italicised.
  2. Another example where katakana was used instead for hiragana-exclusive words such as ハイ/はい. The use of katakana may imply a pun for its meaning of feeling high-spirited and euphoric, so it can also be interpreted as “reduce to euphoria”.
  3. Sirens are humanlike creatures from Greek mythology, known for luring sailors to their death at sea by using their enchanting singing.
