Lyrics
Japanese | Romaji | Official English |
先日外で転びまして | senjitsu soto de korobimashite | The other day, I fell down outside |
君とも上手く喋れなくて | kimi tomo umaku shaberenakute | I couldn't speak well to you either |
少しの言葉が胸を刺して | sukoshi no kotoba ga mune o sashite | A few words pierced me in the chest |
後悔ばかりの反省会 | koukai bakari no hanseikai | All I could do was reflect on my regrets |
そんで今日も疲れちゃって | son de kyou mo tsukarechatte | Because of that, today I'm tired again |
フラッシュバック 思い出 チクチクして | furasshubakku omoide chikuchiku shite | FLASHBACK, Memories, Tingling |
空が滲んでぼやけだした | sora ga nijinde boyakedashita | The sky became hazy and blurred |
街の光は綺麗なのに | machi no hikari wa kirei nano ni | The city lights were pretty, but - |
ずっと 迷う僕を許して欲しいだけ | zutto mayou boku o yurushite hoshii dake | All this time, I’ve just wanted you to forgive me for being so lost |
嗚呼 | aa | Ah |
宛てもなく家出する 夜に問うよ月までの距離 | ate mo naku iede suru yoru ni tou yo tsuki made no kyori | Aimlessly running away from home, I ask the night how far it is to the moon |
散々だった今日の運勢 捨てる儀式に宙を舞え | sanzan datta kyou no unsei suteru gishiki ni chuu o mae | Today's fortune was a complete mess. In a ritual of throwing it away, I soar through the air |
最終 息をする意味は 息絶えた後に知るのだろう | saishuu iki o suru imi wa ikitaeta ato ni shiru no darou | Finally, I guess I'll find out the meaning of breathing after I've breathed my last |
なんにもなんにも無い過去のハッピー 海の底に貯めといて | nan ni mo nan ni mo nai kako no happii umi no soko ni tametoite | An empty, empty HAPPY past... I save it up at the bottom of the sea |
浮かんで弾けてく透明音 | ukande hajiketeku toumeion | A floating and popping transparent sound |
耳をすませればそこにあった | mimi o sumasereba soko ni atta | If I listen carefully, it's there |
気付く余裕が無かっただけ Eh | kizuku yoyuu ga nakatta dake Eh | I just didn't have the time to notice it. Eh |
ひとにぎり 救いをください 灰になるまで | hitonigiri sukui o kudasai hai ni naru made | Can you please give me a small amount of help? Until I turn into ashes |
大人のフリが上手くできない 僕の運勢は1ダース | otona no furi ga umaku dekinai boku no unsei wa ichi daasu | I’m not good at pretending to be an adult, My fortune is a dozen [2] |
曖昧くらいの同情で 一つ教えてくれないか? | aimai kurai no doujou de hitotsu oshiete kurenai ka? | Can't you tell me one thing, with the vaguest amount of sympathy? |
天井踏んで 千を超えて 君に問うよツキまでの波紋 | tenjou funde sen o koete kimi ni tou yo tsuki made no hamon | Stepping on the ceiling, over a thousand times, I ask you how many ripples until some luck appears [3] |
なんにもなんにも無いそれで結構 笑って積み立てる生涯 | nan ni mo nan ni mo nai sore de kekkou waratte tsumitateru shougai | There’s nothing, nothing at all, and that's fine. A lifetime of laughing and saving it up. |
宛てもなく家出する 夜に問うよ月までの距離 | ate mo naku iede suru yoru ni tou yo tsuki made no kyori | Aimlessly running away from home, I ask the night how far it is to the moon |
散々だった今日にグッバイ 捨てる儀式に宙を舞え | sanzan datta kyou ni gubbai suteru gishiki ni chuu o mae | To today's complete mess, GOODBYE, In a ritual of throwing it away, I soar through the air |

Translation Notes
- ↑ "コウフク" being in kana form in the title can mean both "Happiness/Welfare" and "Yield/Surrender"
- ↑ The phrase "僕の運勢は1ダース" is translated as "my fortune is a dozen", "dozen" because of the 12 horoscopes which is usually used for telling someone's fortune. Having only "a dozen" fortune would mean that the person usually has bad luck.
- ↑ The first part of this line "stepping on the ceiling, over a thousand times" means the singer is trying their best to go beyond their limits(or what they could usually do). The next line shows that the singer, which started from the bottom of the sea indicated from the lyrics before this line, has reached the surface of the sea in their best efforts. So now they're asking how many ripples(on the surface of the water) it was towards the moon - a journey that is likened to "getting good luck".
