<p>If you own a site or a channel, there are good reasons to have the right to delete it. Just because it annoys someone else is not a good reason to deny people that right. For example, what if you posted like a blog or a video that you thought was valid at the time but after further investigation turns out to be misleading, maybe even hurtful to someone else?
</p><p>Translations are not as simple as a word by word conversion. There is a lot of art and skill involved, and I mean a lot. Word for word translations can even be misleading because an expression in one language and culture can be meaningless or mean something different in another. What if you want to convey the effect of artistic devices such as atmosphere, suspense, aliteration, puns? It's not straightforward at all.
</p><p>AFAIK under normal circumstances, translation copyright is jointly owned by the translator and the original copyright owner. When the translator acted without the original copyright owner's permission, however, I have no idea.
</p><p>Yes I felt that it was spiteful but ultimately we'll probably never know their true feelings.
